A graduate of Boston College, Albert "Al" Hanley III earned a bachelor's degree before launching a career in the transportation and logistics industry. In 1990, he joined The Commercial Driver's License School, Inc., in Albany, New York, where he started as an instructor and management trainee. He went on to serve as a school director for one of the company's training branches in Miami, Florida. In that position, Al Hanley III greatly improved the underperforming branch, boosting enrollment, increasing revenue, and expanding the staff.
Albert Hanley's performance as a school director led to his appointment as president and CEO of The Commercial Driver’s License School, a role he held from 1996 to 2018. As the organization's top executive, he improved day-to-day operations and enhanced employee benefits. Mr. Hanley also developed and implemented Troops Into Transportation, a program that helps military members transition into civilian careers in the ground-transportation industry.
Today, Al Hanley III leverages his years of leadership experience to serve as a division president for the school’s parent company, the TransForce Group. He oversees the daily management of the company's eight training school branches while continuing to lead Troops Into Transportation. Outside of work, Mr. Hanley enjoys traveling, hiking, sailing, and playing golf.
